Renmore woman wins best dressed at Ballybrit

Fashion enthusiast Pamela Uba, from Renmore, Galway was today announced as the winner of the coveted Best Dressed competition at the Galway Races.

Chosen for her fun, fresh and quirky outfit Pamela’s style embodies what the judges were looking for in a winner for 2019. Wearing a Phoenix V jumpsuit and a hat from Laura Hanlon millinery, the medical scientist wowed today's judges with her statement look. Her handbag was Guess, accessories came from Carraig Donn and shoes were purchased in No.8 Galway.

Pamela was awarded was awarded with a holiday of a lifetime which includes a luxury holiday package from Emirates Holidays to the Seychelles worth over €2,500 including flights, accommodation, transfers, as well as a whopping €3,000 in cash.

Turning heads, Eileen Lundon was awarded Best Hat. Eileen's hat is by Caithriona King Millinery, and the beautiful pink and gold headpiece was declared the winning hat thanks to the gorgeous pastel hues and unique design. Eileen will walk away with a luxury stay at The Lodge at Ashford Castle, valued at more than €1,500.

 This year, the Best Dressed competition was judged by a panel of Ireland’s leading style queens – TV personality Síle Seoige, nutritionist and best-selling author Rosanna Davison and Her’s Gillian Fitzpatrick – who had the very, difficult decision of choosing a winner from a stylish crowd of over 145,000.

Held every year at the Ballybrit racecourse, the Galway Races Ladies’ Day is widely regarded as the biggest day in the Irish Racing Calendar.
