SINCE STARRING in the hit TV comedy series Damo & Ivor as intolerable toff Tarquin, Tom O'Mahony has become one of the busiest Irish headline acts on the circuit, playing major festivals and clubs, both here and abroad.
O'Mahony headlines the Comedy KARLnival at the Róisín Dubh on Tuesday July 30, and his material will draw on his experiences from being an MMA fighter to "the pure savagery" of being a panto dame. The late, great, Rik Mayall called him a "psychotically funny bastard", while comedian Nina Conti declared him as "fantastic".
He has enjoyed sell out shows at the Edinburgh, Cork, Leicester, Dublin, and Barcelona Comedy festivals; supported Michael Winslow (Police Academy ) Abandoman, and Tommy Tiernan; and appeared on Republic Of Telly, Irish Pictorial Weekly, Bridget & Eamon, and 2FM's Breakfast Republic.
Also on the bill is Ger Staunton, who has been declared, "one of the best comedy writers in Ireland" by the International Comedy Club, Dublin, and as “incredibly funny” by The Examiner; and Galway born, Dublin based, Dave Sullivan, who, earlier this year, was a Show Me The Funny finalist and who will be supporting Martin Beanz Warde on his national tour.
