The third annual CroÌ Heart & Stroke Charity golf fundraiser was held at Bearna Golf Club, sponsored by Burkeway Homes.
The 30 teams of four enjoyed glorious sunshine for this year's am-am, which continues to enjoy strong support from Galway businesses, Bearna Golf Club members, and local people.
Burkeway Homes was again the main sponsor for the tournament, which over the last three years has raised €25,000 for CroÌ to provide is vital services to heart and stroke patients in the west of Ireland.
Funds raised at this year's golf event will support the Courtyard Apartments at CroÌ House, which have been specifically designed for short-term stays to allow family members to be as close as possible to patients who are in hospital for cardiac or stroke care in University Hospital Galway.
The three self-contained apartments are available all year round and provide accommodation to more than 100 families each year free of charge. The apartments offer the vital comforts of home for tired and worried families and are a key component of the work undertaken by CroÌ.
