Would you like to meet other women of all ages for tea and a chat, arrange walks, shopping trips, cinema outings, etc? If so, you may be interested in attending the Treasured Ladies group get-togethers.
The organisation meets at 11am on Saturday mornings in the foyer of the House Hotel, Spanish Parade. There are no fees, each person pays for their own tea and coffee.
The first group was formed by a number of friends in Tullamore and now there are groups in Portarlington, Athlone, Gort, and Galway city. The aim of the club is to promote friendship among women.
“We invite ladies of any age to come and meet us at our weekly meet-ups,” say the organisers. “We have a lot of fun. We also have many casual meet-ups (eg, for tea, coffee, walks, cinema, etc. ) These are arranged by members among themselves - the group is strictly a vehicle for getting people together.
“The group is kept informed by postings on our Facebook Group. We look forward to meeting many new friends at our meetings so come along.”
