It’s the heart of the Summer festival season and the racing event of the year each July/August is Galway Race Week. This can only mean great racing, fashionable dress, stunning headpieces, patrons punting and music throughout the week in the Summer air. Following on from last year’s success, The Skeff Late Bar, Eyre Square, Galway in conjunction with Money Maximisers Advisors Ltd are getting in on the fun with a tipster and style afternoon in aid of Rosabel’s Rooms on Tuesday 30th July from 12.30pm to 3.00pm at The Skeff. “Racing for Rosabel” is a pre-race event, full of entertainment, style and racing tips surrounded by the buzz and atmosphere in Eyre Square.
Get your racing tips from Ireland’s top jockey’s Robbie Power and Leigh Roche as they are joined by a panel of guests, including Galway footballer Paul Conroy, ex-footballer Michael Meehan and Boyle Sports Director of Communications Leon Blanche.
Fashionistas and style enthusiasts will have the opportunity to win some amazing prizes from Eyre Square Shopping centre ( Best Dressed Female ), Eddie Murphy Menswear (Best Dressed Gent ) and Barry’s Hair & Beauty Studio (Best Head Piece ) while also getting the lowdown on dressing for ladies’ day from Orlagh Winters -this lady really knows her style, top male lifestyle blogger Stuart Select Style and the West of Ireland’s finest milliner, Mary White. RTE Stylist Caroline Downey will be on hand putting the style panel through their spaces asking the questions all the ladies and gents of country want to know on that winning look.

The event is to raise money for Rosabel’s Rooms a charity established by parents Suzanne McClean and Gary Monroe in memory of their beloved daughter Rosabel who died suddenly and unexpectedly in April 2017, aged only sixteen months. Rosabel’s Rooms will be a family-focused bereavement suites in hospitals around Ireland designed and developed on collaboration with the design and Dignity project at the Irish Hospice Foundation. Rosabel’s Rooms will also be providing therapeutic and financial supports for individuals impacted by child loss. The Room - to-heal fund will provide direct financial support for families in the aftermath of child loss, assisting families to take time off work, pay for the funeral costs etc.
