Volunteers can benefit from this experience, increasing career prospects adding a valuable achievement to CVs, being responsible for directing the affairs of a local business, gain new skills and enhancing your personal development through targeted training programmes, experience with a professional financial services provider and in turn knowing that you have helped the continued development of a professional service which benefits the entire community.
If you are interested in availing of this great opportunity Athenry Credit Union are running an Informal Volunteer Information Event on Sunday, May 19, at the Parish Pastoral Centre, Church Street, Athenry, from 11:45 AM to 1:30 PM.
On the day you will have the chance to speak to volunteers already involved with Athenry Credit Union. Refreshments will be served during the event.
Speaking about the information session, Ollie Freeney, board member of Athenry Credit Union said they would love the opportunity to welcome new volunteers who can help shape the credit union for the future.
“Our priority, as always, is with our members and providing services to meet their needs. As members already, our new volunteers are best placed to understand those needs and help to ensure that the credit union is there to meet those demands.
“There is a wide range of roles for volunteers, whether it’s serving on a committee, as a director, or supervisor. At our information session, I would encourage anyone who is interested to attend and find out if this is for you,” he said.
