What are those Inquisitive Hares up to now?

Athenry artist Donnacha Cahill's first solo show as part of the Galway Theatre Festival

THE INQUISITIVE hare is a busy fellow, always on the lookout for new facts to learn, adventures to undertake, and experiences to have. His exploits are the focus of an exhibition running as part of the Galway Theatre Festival.

Inquisitive Hares is the title of this exhibition ny the Athenry artist Donnacha Cahill, G and which is running in the O'Donoghue Centre for Drama Theatre and Performance, NUI Galway.

Although Cahill has exhibited in many group exhibitions and festivals such as the Galway International Arts Festival, this is his first solo show. It is based around a public sculpture call ‘The Inquisitive Hare’ which was commissioned by the Department of Education for Killimor National School in 2015.

Cahill works mainly in steel. He has made large works for the Department of Education, the Galway and Antrim county councils, Trinity College Dublin, RTÉ, Electric Picnic, the European Recycling Platform, and Dublin Airport.

The exhibition runs until May 18. Gallery opening hours are 12 noon to 6pm. Admission is free.
