Ann Flaherty, who has worked as constituency secretary for Minister of State Seán Kyne, has been selected to run for Fine Gael in Connemara for the upcoming Local Elections.
Ms Flaherty, who is from Leitir Mór, says her campaign priorities will include sustainable development in the region; job creation; transport measures such as footpaths, greenways, better public transport, and the Galway Ring Road; access to housing; and better broadband service.
Her selection has been welcomed by the Government Chief Whip and Minister for the Irish Language, the Gaeltacht and the Islands, Seán Kyne. “Ann has worked with me since my election to the Dáil in 2011,” he said. “She is dedicated to helping constituents across Galway on a wide range of issues. I know that Ann would be a committed and hard-working representative of the people as a councillor.”
