This Was Never Going To Be Normal

Examining climate change through sculptural installation, sound, art, and voice

THE WORLD premiere of This Was Never Going To Be Normal, an original physical theatre sculptural installation, featuring sound, art, and voice, will take place at this month's Galway Theatre Festival.

Created and performed by Deirdre Murphy and Rebecca Reilly in collaboration with Jenny MacDonald, This Was Never Going To Be Normal is a response to climate change. It runs in the Bank of Ireland Theatre, NUI Galway, on Thursday May 9 and Friday 10 (8.30pm ), and Saturday 11 (5pm and 8.30pm ).

Murphy and Reilly are performers, choreographers, composers, vocalists, multi-instrumentalists, and writers. MacDonald is a writer, performer, and theatre facilitator.
