When teams win matches, it is normally the attacking players who get all the kudos. However, if Liverpool managed to overtake City and bring home the Premier League trophy to Merseyside, it will be thanks in large part to Virgil Van Dijk. The big Dutch central defender has been magnificent for the Reds this season and shored up a defence that was known to be brittle for so long. Huddersfield are Van Dijk's opponents on Friday night. They are the league's lowest scorers managing a pathetic sum of 20 goals over 35 league matches. Liverpool will shut them out and Van Dijk will garner plenty of points. Get him in your team.
Jamie Vardy (Leicester City ) v Arsenal
After a tough start to the campaign which saw manager Claude Puel receive the chop in February, Leicester City have stabilised and climbed into the top half of the table. The Foxes' recent good form has had a lot to do with striker Jamie Vardy's knack of finding the net in recent weeks; nine goals in 10 games for the number 9. At Sunday lunchtime, Leicester welcome Arsenal to the King Power Stadium. The Gunners' away form has been suspect all season and it let them down again on Wednesday evening as they succumbed to a feeble 3-1 defeat to Wolves. And I can see more of the same for Unai Emery's men as the travel to the east midlands. I'm going for a home win with Vardy to score the winner.
