Galway will be able to see for itself when MacArthur-Boyd plays the Comedy KARLnival at the Róisín Dubh on Tuesday April 23 at 8.30pm. Though just 24, this Glaswegian is considered the future of Scottish comedy.
He has performed at the Toronto, Perth, and Adelaide fringe festivals, and has appeared on BBC Radio 1’s 24 Hours and BBC Radio 4 Extra’s Stands Up At The Fringe. He is a three-time Scottish Comedian of the Year finalist, a So You Think You’re Funny? finalist, and a two-time nominee for Best New Act at the Scottish Comedy Awards.
Also on the bill is Kerryman Ronan Grace. Combining old school wit with new age cynicism, with a generous twist of silly, he was a regular on Republic Of Telly and The Fear. He has supported Andrew Maxwell, Daniel Sloss, and Dave McSavage. Support is from Joe Dowlin, a finalist in the Ireland's Got Comedy Talent and a host at the International Comedy Club.
