Moltóirí Ghradam Sheosaimh Uí Ógartaigh 2019, who were selected by Bord Stiúrtha Ghaillimh le Gaeilge will today select the finalists for Gradam Sheosaimh Uí Ógartaigh 2019.
Every year, Bord Stiúrtha Ghaillimh le Gaeilge assembles a panel of independent judges with a wide range of expertise to select the winners of Gradam Sheosaimh Uí Ógartaigh.
On the judging panel this year are Rónán Ó hÓgartaigh, son of the late Seosamh Ó hÓgartaigh, founding member and company secretary of Gaillimh le Gaeilge; Deirdre Ní Choistín, Léiritheoir/Eagarthóir MOLSCÉAL; and Freda Nic Giolla Chatháin, Oifigeach Cumarsáide Gaeilge, Gaillimh 2020. Sustainability, service in Irish and visibility of the Irish language in business is what the Moltóirí will rate highly when they meet to review and evaluate all of the bilingual work undertaken by the Gradam nominees over the last few weeks.
“Déanann muid comhghairdeas leis na hainmniúchain ar fad atá ag glacadh páirt sa Ghradam i mbliana,”said Cathaoirleach Ghaillimh le Gaeilge, Bernadette Mullarkey.
“The Gradam has proved to be a very successful initiative to reward and motivate businesses and organisations to use the Irish language. It’s always great to see the diverse range of businesses in both sector and size taking part in the Gradam. Their efforts and commitment to the use of the Irish language continues to improve and strengthen our status as a bilingual cultural city. Gach rath orthu ar fad,” she said.
In the coming weeks, the Moltóirí will visit all of the finalists premises to view at first hand and appraise all of their bilingual work.
