New release and gig from Junior Brother and PowPig

'Quadruple A-side single release' from Out On A Limb Records and Strange Brew Rekkids

IT COULD have been called a split EP, but why go for the obvious when you can have "a quadruple A-side single release"? That is just what Junior Brother and PowPig have done.

Limerick label Out On A Limb Records and Galway label Strange Brew Rekkids will release the EP/quadruple A-side which contains two songs apiece by Kerry Alternative-folk singer Junior Brother and Limerick indie-rock quartet PowPig. As part of the launch tour for the release, Junior Brother and PowPig play a free show at the Róisín Dubh on Wednesday April 17 at 8pm.

Junior Brother's single 'The Back Of Her' won him much acclaim, and he is due to release his debut album later this year. PowPig have already released the EPs Denture Adventure and Buzz Buzz. "We’re very, very excited to be touring with Junior Brother," said PowPig. "It’s lovely, as Junior Brother does indeed feel like our younger brother, despite being 70 years our senior, and it’s great to have such an amazing uncle to tour the world with."

The release is available from Spotify and iTunes and as a limited edition cassette from Bandcamp. See outonalimbrecords.com and strangebrew.ie
