We Banjo 3 man at Mick Lally Theatre

Fergal Scahill to be joined by Ruth Smith, Naomi Berrill, and ConTempo

FERGAL SCAHILL, fiddler and guitarist with the Irish folk/trad success story that is We Banjo 3, will be among the musicians performing at the next 3 Saturdays: 3 Kinds of Music concert.

The concert will present an array of Galway talent, with Fergal being joined by fiddler and vocalist Ruth Smith for a trad music set; while the ConTempo Quartet will play music by Stravinsky and Shostakovich. Also performing is the Headford born singer, cellist, and songwriter, Naomi Berrill. The Journal of Music described her sound as “delicate and deliberate, her cello occupying an otherwise sparse soundscape, mainly met by her airy soprano vocals"; while the ConTempo Quartet will close the show with music by Stravinsky and Shostakovich.

The concert takes place this Saturday at 11am in The Mick Lally Theatre, Druid Lane. Admission is free, but places are limited. Early arrival is advised. The show is all ages and family friendly.
