Take The Points with Des Bishop

Comedian to argue why we should listen to other's points of view at new show in Town Hall Theatre

'TAKE THE point' is good advice on the pitch, but an even better metaphor for life, especially when you do not take advice well, and especially if you are one of those angry troll types on Facebook and Twitter.

There is so much 'white noise' and 'opinion' around right now, somebody needs to say, 'Try being informed, not just opinionated', and also, 'Just listen, you might learn something'.

Irish-American comedian Des Bishop has taken on this daunting role for himself, via his new show, Take The Points, which he brings to the Town Hall Theatre on Friday March 22 and Saturday March 23 at 8pm.

In this show, Des considers #MeToo, consent, Donald Trump, the repeal of the Eight Amendment, and the angry online world. All are welcome to the show - snowflakes, the easily offended, those that complain about people being offended, PC and non-PC people, religious people and atheists. We all have points to take and goals to come!

Tickets are available from the Town Hall (091 - 569777, www.tht.ie ).
