TODAY IS World Book Day Ireland 2019, and to mark the occasion, Kinvara Area Visual Arts is holding an exhibition of children's book illustrations in The Courthouse, Kinvara.
The exhibition opens today and will feature work by Christopher Banahan, Mary Coen, Róisín Curé, Belinda Deutinger, Sarah Fuller, Maeve Galvin, Mavis Gormally, Lily Johnson, Patricia Kavanagh, Nutan, Heidi Reich and Kristy Verenga. Many of the original paintings and drawings in this show will have featured in published children's books, while others are works in progress.
The exhibition is open daily from 12 noon to 4pm, with the exception of March 9 and 10, and runs until March 19.
