Galway Street Club St Patrick's weekend shows

Evening and afternoon shows from Galway's favourite multi-national collection of hippies

IT IS something of a local institution, and always one of the liveliest music nights of the year, when the Galway Street Club play their annual St Patrick's Weekend shows at the Róisín Dubh.

The band, a multi-national collection of hippies, play the Róisín on Saturday March 16 at 8pm, and Sunday 17 at 5pm. As well as playing songs from their very fine 2018 debut album, Sovereign State of Madness, they are likely to play new songs set for release in the summer.

As well as releasing their album, 2018 also saw GSC undertake a month long tour of Germany; play Electric Picnic, Knockanstockan, and the Townlands Carnival; support Madness at the Galway International Arts Festival; and play their first British shows at Bestival and Boomtown, London's Brixton Jamm, and support Alabama 3 in Liverpool, London, and Cambridge.

Admission to either gig is €5.
