The men who inspired Narcos return to Galway

Steve Murphy and Javier Peña in public conversation on how they brought down Pablo Escobar

STEVE MURPHY and Javier Peña, the US Drug Enforcement Administration agents who led the manhunt of Colombian drug lord and Medellín Cartel leader, Pablo Escobar, and whose actions inspired the hit Netflix series, Narcos, return to Galway.

'Narcos - An Evening of Conversation on Pablo Escobar, The Cali Cartel, Kiki Camarena' takes place at the Town Hall Theatre on Wednesday May 15 at 8pm. Agents Peña and Murphy will speak about the rise and fall of the Medellin Cartel and the role they played in bringing down its leader, Pablo Escobar, the so-called King of Cocaine. They will also discuss the Cali Cartel, and Kiki Camarena, the undercover agent who was the subject of the latest Narcos: Mexico series.

The discussion will shed light on their input into the Netflix series; they will also reveal information which does not feature in the show; and take part in a Q&A with the audience.
