A new four week total beginner jive course will start next month in a number of venues in Galway city and county.
Classes will begin in the Holy Family School (Lakeview School ), Renmore, on Wednesday February 20. A four week waltz and quickstep beginner course (€40 ) takes place from 7pm to 8pm, with a four week beginner jive course (€40 ) from 8.15pm to 9.30pm. Both courses can be booked together for €50.
The four week total beginners' jive course will also take place in Moycullen Community Hall from Friday February 22 from 9pm to 10.30pm, and in the Lady Gregory Hotel, Gort, from Tuesday February 19 from 8pm.
The course will be taught by Tom Jive, who has taken Ireland by storm with his unique style of teaching. Students will be transformed from total beginners to confident dancers in four weeks, learning to jive to the music of Mike Denver, Derek Ryan, and others. Once you master this popular dance you will never have to sit down at a social function again.
