RODNEY OWL, the Galway singer-songwriter will today release his new single, 'A Life Misleading', which features contributions from a number of the city's leading musicians.
For the single, Rodney (aka Mark McConville ) was accompanied by Martin Hickey (Converse All Stars ) on electric guitar; Shane O'Malley (No Stairway, Stephen Sharpe & The Broke Straight Boys ) bass; Bri Gosker (Big Jelly ) drums, Jenny Groarke (The Bluebirds, Tracy Bruen Band ) backing vocals.
'A Life Misleading' is the first song from a collection of 10 that will be released one by one throughout 2019 and will eventually make up Rodney's second album. The cover art for the single was provided by Galway based artist Gosia Kamienieck, in what is an ongoing collaboration between the two. "We're working on tying in the release of the 10 songs with the run up to Galway2020 events," says Rodney.
