‘Exceptional demand for starter homes’ — Mullery auctioneers

Mullery auctioneers has reported exceptionally strong demand for starter homes throughout 2018 and this demand looks set to continue into 2019.

“2018 started with huge demand for starter homes including apartments and three and four bedroom homes," said Mike Mullery. "Throughout the year this demand has continued and while supply would appear to be improving, there are still currently not enough properties on the market to meet demand.”

The agent experienced a surge in demand for apartments in the first quarter of 2018, and demand for good quality apartments is still very strong from both owner occupiers and investors.

The three and four bedroom starter home market has been extremely active and Mullery auctioneers has handled the sale of a large volume of these properties in areas such as Knocknacarra, Rahoon, Oranmore, Roscam, Doughiska, Tirellan Heights, Castlelawn Heights, Renmore, Claregalway, Ballybane, Headford Road, the city centre, and Salthill. The company has consistently achieved some of the top prices for homes in these areas through private treaty sales.

As several new developments are beginning to come on stream, supply is improving, however there is still significant pent up demand for homes throughout the city and county.

In recent weeks alone, Mullery auctioneers has agreed sales on properties in Tirellan Heights, Roscam, Cluain Riocaird, Newcastle, Knocknacarra, Ballybane, the city centre, Claregalway, Oranmore, and Renmore.

“If you are considering selling your property, we would love to speak with you and assure you of a professional, confidential, and highly efficient service," Mike Mullery added. "We offer a personal service with a director of the company dealing with each property to ensure you are receiving the very best service, feedback, and advice. We provide you with a bespoke marketing package which generally includes professional photography, professionally printed brochures, for sale boards, website listings on all the main property websites including daft.ie and myhome.ie as well as newspaper ads, newspaper editorials, social media ads, and property videos. Our professional marketing campaign will ensure your property stands out from the crowd.”
