John Crowley, the Social Democrats' Galway City West candidate for next May's Local Elections, will formally launch his campaign at the Salthill Hotel this Sunday at 7pm.
Mr Crowley, who has worked on several campaigns, including Together For Yes, Marriage Equality, President Michael D Higgins’ re-election campaign, and Niall O'Tuathail's 2016 General Election run, will now launch his own campaign to secure a seat in City Hall.
“I've been incredibly heartened by the support given to myself and my fellow candidates, Sharon Nolan, and Owen Hanley," he said. "This event is an opportunity to set out my stall as to why I am asking for the honour of representing my local community. All are welcome to join us on Sunday to hear my vision for Galway 2019 and beyond.”
Also speaking at Sunday's event will be Social Democrats vice chair and candidate for South West Dublin Carly Bailey and Social Democrats Galway West candidate Niall Ó Tuathail.
