SolidWorks - computer aided design parametric modelling course at the GRETB training centre

GRETB Training Centre is offering a 21 week course with four weeks in-company training starting November 12.

What is SolidWorks?

SolidWorks is 3D computer aided design (CAD ) software used by more than two million engineers and designers in industry sectors such as: medical devices, industrial design, renewable energy, product design, toolmaking, prototyping, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, and furniture design.

What you will do on the course

Create a CAD portfolio using SolidWorks.

Print your fully dimensioned engineering drawings on A4 – A1 size sheets in paper, PDF, and e-drawing formats.

Enhance your portfolio by creating photorealistic rendering images.

Demonstrate your designs with Assembly animation videos.

Create physical 3D models of your work with 3D printers.

Use precision measurement tools to measure parts for modelling and re-design.

Learn about state of the art computerised machining centres in the introduction to CNC module.

Equipment and software

Solidworks – you can get a free student seat of SolidWorks software for use on your home PC or laptop.

Dual screen Dell Precision workstations.

A4 and A3 printers.

A1 plotter.

3D printers.

CNC machining centres.
