Kiltormer GAA complex in East Galway is the place to be this Sunday! What is happening…….well a Monster Charity Auction with all the trimmings! From BBQ, children’s entertainment, face painting, cake sale, Bric-A-Brac and fashion corner it going to be a hive of activity. The auction has been organized to create safe and accessible car parking at the local national school which currently only has six car spaces, forcing parents to park on both sides of a busy main road. The LCDG is leading the project and needs to raise €100,000 to make their dreams a reality. The Monster Auction is the main fundraiser for the project and so the group is calling for strong support locally.
They have been working tirelessly to ensure there’s plenty to bid on from fodder to family days out. Local bidders will be spoilt with a bumper list of 300 lots which including turf, timber, days of labour, holidays, building supplies, tools, home appliances, farming equipment, family portraits and sporting tickets too. For those with a lucky streak pick up a raffle ticket on your way in and you will get to choose a prize to the value of €250!
Also on offer will be a raft of items at the gift voucher shop including gym memberships, spa days, dinner and lunch vouchers, as well as vouchers for hair and makeup, to mention but a few.
All of these items will be available at huge discounts so not only will you be getting a great deal, but you'll be helping a great local cause.
The auction will be held in the Kiltormer GAA Complex on October 21. Doors open at 12 noon for viewing, with bidding kicking off at 3pm.
