Les Misérables stars go Beyond the Barricade

Four West End stars from productions of Les Misérables come to Galway

WEST END stars are coming to Galway to perform songs from Les Misérables, as well as The Phantom of the Opera, Jesus Christ Superstar, Chicago, The Lion King, and others, in the acclaimed show, Beyond the Barricade.

The show, entitled Beyond the Barricade, which has won critical acclaim during runs in Britain, the continent, Asia, New Zealand, and Australia, comes to the Black Box Theatre on Friday November 2 at 8pm, for what will be it's Galway debut.

The songs will be performed by Andy Reiss, David Fawcett, Katie Leeming, and Poppy Tierney. It was devised by Andy Reiss and David Fawcett after they appeared in the Manchester and London casts of Les Misérables. David played the lead role of Jean Valjean in both productions, while Andy is the only person to have been resident director for Les Misérables and perform in it at the same time.

Katie Leeming has played Eponine in the West End production of Les Misérables, appeared with the Les Misérables cast on the televised Classical Brits awards and the Royal Variety Show, was an ensemble vocalist in the Les Misérables movie.

Poppy Tierney played Cosette in Les Misérables on the UK Tour and in the West End. She has also played leading roles in Evita, The Witches of Eastwick, and Miss Saigon. Poppy can also be seen in Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again.
