Local handballers progress

Diarmuid Mulkerrins and Willie have Corcoran progressed to All-Ireland 60x30 finals after the All Ireland 60x30 doubles semi-finals on Sunday.

Diarmuid Mulkerrrins beat Jerome Cahill (Tipperary ) 21-14 6-21 21-6 in the U21 semi-final held in Moycullen, while Salthill's Willie Corcoran covercame Tipperary's Martin Ryan to progress in the Emerald Masters B singles held in Ballina, Tipperary.

Other results: Junior B singles, David Walsh (Cork ) beat Conor Noone (Moycullen ) 14-21 21-8 21-18; Junior dingles, Seamus Conneely (Moycullen ) lost to Kevin Dempsey (Tipperary ) 15-21 21-19 2-21; Over 35 A singles: Ollie Conway (Williamstown ) lost to Dominic Lynch (Kerry ) 5-21 18-21; Intermediate doubles, Kevin Craddock (Salthill )/ Declan Connaughton (Williamstown ) lost to Daniel Relihan/Michael Hedigan (Cork ) 12-21 14-21.

Two county finals were played in Moycullen on Saturday, with Annaghdown's Brian Walsh and Daniel Cosgrove winning the U13 doubles, and Cian Whelan taking the U16 singles final.
