And now for something completely different...

Alternative chef George Egg to prepares breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a wallpaper stripper, heat gun, and a paper shredder

THE VODAFONE Comedy Carnival Galway brings some of the biggest acts in international comedy to the city, and also some of the more bizarre. That tradition continues with George Egg, a chef 'completely different’ to any you have come across.

George Egg is a stand-up comedian who cooks food, surprisingly good food, live on stage, using unconventional methods and unexpected equipment. He makes you laugh too. In GEORGE EGG: DIY CHEF a health scare sees George banished from the family kitchen. Relocating to the garden shed, his imagination and resourcefulness lead him to build an improvised kitchen there.

At his show in The Mick Lally Theatre on Tuesday October 23 from 8pm, George will deliver what promises to be an inspiring and inventive evening of stand-up, live cooking, and comedy lecture as he prepares a breakfast, lunch, and dinner using wallpaper stripper, a heat gun, a paper shredder, various power tools, office equipment, hair-dressing appliances, and gardening implements - and the audience get to sample the food at the end.

Tickets are available from vodafonecomedycarnival.com or OMG@Zhivago, Shop Street.
