Fair City actor to read at Over The Edge

Lisa Harding to read from her prize winning novel, Harvesting

LISA HARDING, who played Connie in RTÉ’s Fair City, will read from her prize-winning novel, Harvesting, at the Over The Edge: Open Reading which takes place in the Galway City Library next week.

Lisa Harding is a playwright, short story writer, actor, and novelist. As well as Fair City, she has performed at the Abbey, the Gate, and the Lyric. Harvesting was published by New Island to critical acclaim and has just been optioned by an IFTA and BAFTA winning director. Her second novel is shortly to go on submission with Aitken Alexander, and she is about to adapt Harvesting for the screen.

Also reading will be Jude Flynn, a graphic designer and writer whose short stories centre around childhood and adolescence and how the world is interpreted and misinterpreted through a youthful gaze; and Galwegian Una O’Farrell, who has read her poetry at the Over the Edge open mic and is seeking a publisher for her novel, That’s It.

The reading takes place on Thursday August 30 at 6.30pm. There will be an open-mic after the featured readers and the announcement of the long list for the 2018 Over The Edge New Writer of The Year. The MC will be Susan Millar DuMars. All are welcome. See overtheedgeliteraryevents.blogspot.com
