MACNAS IS best known, and hugely acclaimed, for its street parades, but there will be a chance to see a different side to its creative artists, in an exhibition on the Aran Islands.
In Sight, an exhibition of cross-disciplinary art work by An Criú, the association artists of Macnas, is currently running in Áras Éanna, Inis Oírr. It features painting, sculpture, metal work, sound and video installations, textiles, and design. The exhibiting artists are Angie Byrne, Tommy Casby, Orla Clogher, Midie Corcoran, Dave Donovan, Mary Doyle, Eugene Finnegan, Chris Gibbons, Jojo Hynes, Claudia Lamantea, Áine Lawless, Dara McGee, Tom Meskell, Gavin Morgan, Ali Nightingale, Emma O’Grady, Michelle Ruane, Katya Solomatina , Lisa Sweeney, Cherie White, Bill Wright and Dave Young.
In Sight runs until August 12.
