THE KICKSTARTER campaign for the new EP by Galway roots-rock band The Deans ends on Tuesday June 26. Fans can buy an advance copy of the EP and be in for different reward bundles depending on the amount they donate.
The EP was produced by Steve Albini, one of the world's leading music producers, whose credits include Nirvana's In Utero, the Pixies' Surfer Rosa, The Breeders' Pod, and the Manic Street Preachers' Journal For Plague Lovers.
"We're still on a high from our recent trip to the States where we were working hard recording our new EP at Electrical Audio in Chicago with legendary producer/engineer Steve Albini," says band guitarist Gavin Dean. "What a trip! What an experience to work with the man who recorded some of our favourite sounding records ever."
"Now all we need is need is participation to help with the mastering and fabrication of vinyl record and CDs. We plan on mastering the record in the world renowned Abbey Road Studios, London. We didn't think it would be possible for an independant band like ourselves to have our record mastered in such mythical place but when we said we worked with Steve they were very obliging. You can do this by purchasing an advanced copy of the EP through Kickstarter."
