The life and times of Scaramouche Jones

The clown tells his own story at the Town Hall Theatre

SCARAMOUCHE IS an arrogant, but cowardly and unreliable, figure in traditional Italian comedy. He was also name-checked in 'Bohemian Rhapsody', with Freddie Mercury asking him to "do the fandango", but what does he have to say for himself?

Scaramouche Jones is a mysterious, white-faced, clown, who, emerging from the circus ring for the very last time, will tell his life story - a life of service and sacrifice which encompasses many of the actual events of a century, at times hilarious, at times heart-breaking.

White Cobra Productions presents Scaramouche Jones in the Town Hall Theatre studio on Thursday June 21 at 8.30pm. Tickets are via 091 - 569777 or www.tht.ie The show runs for 90 minutes with no interval.
