Galway’s g Hotel & Spa is hosting a Seafood Sensations Dinner on Thursday June 28 in the award-winning Restaurant gigi’s. Guests will savour an enticing five courses (including non-seafood items for land lovers ), expertly paired with wines bursting with summer for €60 per person.
This very special dinner will welcome French wine-making brothers Pierre Germain of Château de la Roulerie and Thierry Germain of Domaine des Roches Neuves to Galway. Their Loire Valley wines are renowned for flavour and excellence and their Gallic charm will enchant guests.
Booking is required for this exciting dinner which will celebrate the very best of Galway gastronomy 2018.
Head chef Jason O’Neill and sous chef Andy Lewis are busy planning the menu in conjunction with the Germain brothers. Guests will sip beautiful wines while enjoying a selection of the freshest Irish ingredients, sourced from the length and breadth of the Wild Atlantic Way. Philip Treacy was inspired by Galway’s connection with the sea when designing the g Hotel, and Restaurant gigi’s is renowned as a food lovers' destination in beautiful surroundings. There will be two options for each course on Thursday June 28, ensuring both lovers of land and sea are catered for. Tickets are €60 per person for five courses matched with five different wines.
This very special evening of food and wine at Restaurant gigi’s will be held in association with The Vineyard wine merchant which is Galway based and works closely with Philippe Germain and his brother Thierry Germain. Guests will hear the fascinating background of both vineyards and their rich wine heritage as the brothers share their obvious passion for wine making. Thierry Germain is known as a a leading light in organic and bio wines in France, and he will impart details of how his cultivation and production differs from other wineries. During the evening guests will also meet the g Hotel culinary team headed by the talented Jason O’Neill and Andy Lewis.
