UB40 to headline Fever Pitch music festival

Two days of live music, comedy, and food at the Galway Airport site

UB40, THE long running British reggae band, best known for the songs 'Red, Red, Wine' and 'Breakfast In Bed', headline the Fever Pitch music festival on Sunday, with Rudimental headlining on Saturday.

The festival, which takes place at Galway Airport, Carnmore, seeks to cater for two different demographics this June Bank Holiday weekend, and includes a comedy tent, food village, and silent disco, alongside music concerts, this Saturday and Sunday, from 2pm to 11pm.

Saturday is aimed at a younger demographic with Rudimental headlining. He recently hit No 1 with 'These Days', their second chart topping single after 'Feel The Love' and 'Waiting all Night'. Also on the bill is Example, who has had two British No 1s with 'Changed The Way You Kiss Me' and 'Stay Awake', and has collaborated with Calvin Harris; Irish band Chasing Abbey, winners of the RTÉ Choice Music Song of the Year for 'That Good Thing'; along with X-Factor's Sean and Conor Price, Ejeca, Dense & Pika, Brame & Hamo, and Boots & Kats, Jordan, Kormac, Le Boom, Bedlam DJ's, Refuge, and the BPM DJ's.

UB40 headlines the Sunday bill which also includes iconic Irish rock band Aslan; Dublin rockers The Riptide Movement, who have played support to the Rolling Stones; Keywest, The Gangsters, and three terrific Galway bands in Amazing Apples, Rofi James, and The Clockworks. There will also be tribute bands Live Forever (Oasis ), Rebel Rebel (David Bowie ), and Thin Az Lizzy.
