Bell X1 man brings solo venture to Galway

Join Me In The Pines plays Róisín Dubh - new album on the way

DAVE GERAGHTY is best known as a a founder member of Bell X1, but in recent years he has been exploring a solo direction under the moniker Join Me In The Pines.

As part of his new Irish tour, Join Me In The Pines plays the Róisín Dubh on Friday June 1 at 8pm, accompanied by Marc Aubele (keyboards and vocals ), Mick Major (bass and vocals ), and Daragh Mayon (drums and vocals ). Last month saw the release of the new single, ‘Two To Fall In Love’, which represents a step away from JMITP's previously folk-orientated sound, towards electro-pop, with hints of Prince, Bowie, Gary Numan, and Nile Rodgers.

A new album, JMITP's fourth, will be released later this year, with mixing duties undertaken by Ross Dowling (James Vincent McMorrow, Talos, Brian Deady ). "I’m so excited to perform the new album with the Join Me in the Pines band in May and June," said Geraghty. "The reaction to the new songs in February was great but now it’s time to get the groove on with the band.”
