Club football championships kick off this weekend

Following Galway’s first round win over Mayo, the senior and intermediate club football championships kick off this weekend.

With Galway fixed to play Sligo in the Connacht club championship semi-final on Sunday June 3, the county board is getting one round of the club championship up and running this weekend.

There are eight senior championship games down for decision with some attractive fixtures, such as Tuam Stars v Annaghdown, Moycullen v Salthill/Knocknacarra, Claregalway v Corofin and St Michael's v Monivea Abbey.

There should be some good crowds at the games too as GAA supporters like to see the county players in action with their clubs after a big intercounty game.

Full details of all the games are available on galwaygaa.ie
