Public meeting on oxygen therapy for fibromyalgia

A public meeting will take place at OxyGeneration, Merchants Road, later this month on the use of hyperbaric oxygen as a supplementary therapy for fibromyalgia.

The talk on fibromyalgia and OxyGeneration, by Dr Chris H Maharaj MD, consultant anaesthetist and pain specialist MB BCh BAO BSc FCARCSI in the Bon Secours and Galway University Hospital, will take place on Thursday May 24 from 7pm to 8.30pm.

Dr Maharaj will discuss the findings of the medical research paper on fibromyalgia from the Sagol Center for Hyperbaric Medicine and Research at the Tel Aviv University Hospital, which is one of the largest hyperbaric centres worldwide.

John Carey, U-First Coaching and Development, will also speak at the event. Over the last 15 years, Mr Carey's influence on human performance has spanned across both sports and business. In the sports domain, he has delivered performance coaching to a number of elite athletes and teams, winning four World titles, six All-Ireland titles, and 69 All-Star awards.
