Brand new transport operator, GoBus, will this week receive its final fleet of Volvo 9700 Prestige Plus coaches, winners of the Coach of the Year 2008 title, 10 of which are now fitted with WI-FI cards.
Passengers using the new return Galway to Dublin point-to-point route can now enjoy superior ‘business class’ comfort as they check their emails, download music to their i-pod or access the internet, whilst on the move!
Having spent over 30 years in the transport business, Managing Director of GoBus, Jim Burke, knows exactly what the customer wants and is keen to make sure GoBus continuously meets these requirements. “In keeping with our modern bus operation, we aim to continuously add to the services that we offer our passengers” said Burke. “By continuing to offer innovations such as WI-FI, passengers can see our continued commitment to invest in quality travel” added Burke. “ With an increasing number of hand-held devices, such as mobile phones and PDAs, having WIFI built in, accessing the internet to check your email, surf the web or update your blog is now easier than ever before,” added Patrick Cotter, Managing Director of FleetConnect, who is responsible for fitting the GoBus fleet with these new WI-FI cards.
GoBus recently announced a daily point-to-point return service operating from Galway to Dublin, which runs 14 direct services each way. The impressively swift journey takes only 2hrs 45mins from point to point, during which commuters can enjoy some additional luxury features including toilet facilities, a climate control ventilation system, excellent legroom, three-point safety belts, adjustable head and foot rests, low interior noise, sunblinds on all windows, hinged tables to rear of seats, aircraft style, spacious luggage compartments and individually controlled passenger lighting to list but a few.
