Dr Aaron Brennan, Dr Aileen Faherty, and Dr John Morris have announced the opening of their new surgery, Galway East Medical Practice, on the Doughiska Road. Continuing their work together, and combining their respective areas of expertise, these young doctors are committed to providing a compassionate and expert service to both new and existing patients from their new and well equipped premises.
Conveniently located in Doughiska Retail Centre (beside Joyce's ), Galway East Medical Practice looks forward to serving the east Galway community through the new facility which boasts enhanced accessibility for patients with three ground floor consultation rooms, as well as ample parking directly outside the door. The three doctors strive to maintain the same ethos of empathy and compassion they have become known for and look forward to combining this with the very best in high quality, evidence-based, healthcare.
Dr Aaron Brennan practised as a GP for seven years in Dublin before returning to Galway in 2017, and had previously spent a number of years training in various specialities of hospital medicine in Ireland and overseas. He has particular interest and experience in areas including migraine, arthritis, osteoporosis, chronic disease management, and allergy.
Dr Aileen Faherty, who also works with the Galway Family Planning Clinic, brings with her skills in women's health, sexual health, and family planning. Dr Faherty also has a special interest in diabetes, dermatology, and children’s health.
Dr John Morris has firmly established an excellent reputation in east Galway for his GP services over the past six years and looks forward to continuing his work in this new practice, bringing with him expertise in areas including mental health, heart disease, and travel medicine/vaccination.
The three doctors are also delighted to welcome their highly experienced practice nurse Gerardene Mannion who is skilled in attending to the healthcare needs of all the family. The team is ably completed by their second-to-none reception staff Maureen and Dee.
Galway East Medical Practice is currently open and welcomes appointments from all patients including private, medical card, under sixes, and GP visit card holders.
