More than €200k pencilled in for road improvements in Castlebar
As part of this year’s budget for Castlebar Town Council, due to be agreed by members, more than €200,000 is to be allocated to road improvements in the town with a total of 16 different projects identified for work over the next 12 months.
Student grants on Facebook
Mayo County Council is the first county in the country to inform its students about the availability of Higher Education Grants on Facebook. Fine Gael Leader, Enda Kenny, TD, has welcomed the Road Works Estimates from Castlebar Town Council for 2010. A total of €585,000 has been allocated toward improvements and maintenance around the town. From this funding, approximately €216,000 will be spent on 18 locations where improvement and installation works are required.
