Galway’s intermediate football champions Killanin will face St Croans (Roscommon) on Sunday in Tuam Stadium (2pm) in the Connacht championship decider.

Moycullen and Killanin will face off this Sunday at Tuam Stadium in what promises to be a rip-roaring contest in the Galway Intermediate County Football Championship final (3.45pm).

Killanin look like a senior team in trouble. They are pointless after three games in the league and look like hot candidates to be demoted from 1B. While they scored five goals against Carraroe in their first round defeat, they conceded 1-17.

There were 10 championship games in the county football championship last weekend with all 20 senior clubs in action. Unusually with that many games down for decision, there were no draws and the winning teams now advance to round three.
