Taoiseach Enda Kenny has welcomed the decision to approve funding of €195,115 for Parke Community Hall under the LEADER element of the Rural Development Programme. The funding will allow for an extension to the existing community facility to include a funeral parlour, a multi-functional meeting room, a space for a permanent stage, and dressing rooms. Overall, the project will cost in excess of €260,000 and represents a massive boost to the local area, along with supporting jobs in the construction process.

The Mayo Community Games talent competition and choir singing will take place on Tuesday March 8 in the Parke Community Hall at 6pm.
