Parke Drama Group presents Thy Will Be Done

Chance to win two tickets to see the show

Parke Drama Group is to present its first production in the newly renovated Parke Community Hall next weekend.

Thy Will Be Done by Michael Carey will be performed on Friday and Saturday, November 28 and 29.

Directed by Bríd Quinn, with Vincent McHale as assistant director, Thy Will Be Done tells the story of two brothers living in close proximity, who have not spoken to one another for more than 40 years.

When one brother’s long absent son returns from America to help work the family farm, tensions and home truths surface surrounding the uncles’ hatred of each other.

It is not all about the men either. One local woman, although a bit of a busybody, has a lot of character and the best interests of those she keeps house for at heart.

Although the truth can be painful, there is also plenty of humour in Michael Carey’s script.

The experienced cast of Mary Mahon as Bridie, Seamus Beirne as Martin, John Daly as Jack and Michael Maguire as Peteen bring the story to life onstage.

Advanced booking is advised on (087 ) 7993129 or (094 ) 9031128 after 6pm. Tickets cost €10. Doors open on both nights at 8 pm with curtain up at 8.30 pm.
