Former Miss Irelands such as Rosanna Davison, Amanda Brunker, and Andrea Roche made it to the top finalists in Miss World during their respective reigns and Ireland has always been a force to be reckoned with on the world stage.

It’s the most glamorous competition in the beauty pageant calendar, with three local girls gearing up this week to take their shot at winning the prestigious ‘Miss Ireland’ title, the winner of which goes on to represent Ireland in the 2010 Miss World pageant in China.

Coyote’s late bar will host the final of Miss Galway 2009 this Sunday at 7pm. The final will see 16 qualifying contestants compete for the title and a chance to represent Galway at the Miss Ireland competition in July. If crowned Miss Ireland, the lucky competitor will then compete at Miss World in November.
