Top international tour operators get a flavour of the Midlands

A large group of international tour operators and buyers visited Kilbeggan Distillery and Old Locke’s Distillery Museum on a familiarisation trip to the Midlands. The group are in Ireland to attend Meitheal 2011, the annual travel trade workshop organised by Fáilte Ireland, in conjunction with Tourism Ireland. Meitheal is one of the largest tourism trade workshops and the most important event of the Irish tourism calendar.

Westport to host Turas na mBan

The town of Westport is to host Turas na mBan, a weekend dedicated to celebrating the journey of women, which takes place in the Knockranny House Hotel on Friday and Saturday October 17 and 18.
