Mayo Ideas Week 2012 was officially launched by An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny, at Mount Falcon Hotel, Ballina, on Monday September 3. Mayo Ideas Week is a series of idea generation, entrepreneurship, and business events hosted by the development and enterprise support agencies in Mayo. Admission is free to the 13 events which will be held all over the county from Monday September 17 to Friday September 21.

The Education Working Group of Mayo County Development Board is hosting an ‘Education and Training Expo’ in The Linenhall Arts Centre, Castlebar on Saturday June 16, which will feature a broad mix of educational providers in the county offering information on courses and training supports to suit people of all ages. Information on both accredited and non-accredited part-time, full-time and evening / weekend courses will be supplied.

The 2010 Mayo Science and Technology Festival runs from November 15 to 21 and promises a number of exciting events across the length and breadth of the county. Science Week aims promote the relevance of science and technology in our everyday lives and to demonstrate the importance of these disciplines to the future development of Mayo and the economy of Ireland.
Digital media seminar in Castlebar
A seminar on digital media and creative industries in Mayo will take place on Wednesday September 29 next in the Linenhall Arts Centre, Castlebar, from 2pm to 5pm.
