The Education Working Group of Mayo County Development Board is hosting an ‘Education and Training Expo’ in The Linenhall Arts Centre, Castlebar on Saturday June 16, which will feature a broad mix of educational providers in the county offering information on courses and training supports to suit people of all ages. Information on both accredited and non-accredited part-time, full-time and evening / weekend courses will be supplied.
Mayo county manager, Peter Hynes explained:
“Bringing the providers together into one room will present people with a one-stop-shop for education and training opportunities. Many providers are getting prepared for the year ahead and this is a real chance to meet with them and have your queries answered.”

These include Achill Archaeological Field School; Aontas; Mayo County Enterprise Board; Department of Social Protection; Fás; GMIT; Newport Local Training Initiative; Regional Training Centre; Mayo North East LEADER Partnership Compnay; Mayo VEC; Employ Ability Mayo; Mayo Volunteer Centre; St Colman’s Training Centre; South West Mayo Development Company; Mayo County Childcare Committee and Teagasc.
