For the first time in their 41 year history O'Loughlin Gaels GAA Club were crowned All-Ireland Feile na nGael champions last weekend in Galway. This was the club's second year in a row representing Kilkenny in the national finals of the Feile na nGael. Last year a younger team were beaten in the quarter final. This year was to be a different story.

All O'loughlin Gaels players, management, members and supporters had to suffer the heartbreak of losing the Club All Ireland hurling final last Thursday, St Patrick's Day. The Parish of St Johns, including Dunmore and Johnswell was a virtual ghost town as all its inhabitants made their way to Croke Park.

O'Loughlin Gaels will play Loughiel Shamrocks of Antrim in the 2011 AIB All-Ireland club hurling championship semi final this Saturday, February 19, in Parnell Park, Dublin. Throw in is 2pm.

The eagerly awaited Leinster club hurling final between O'Loughlin Gaels and Oulart The Ballagh will take place this Sunday, January 30, in Dr Cullen Park, Carlow at 2pm.

A problem, which arose from a mix up in dates last Saturday, ended splendidly for the managers of the O'Loughlin Gael's under 10 hurling team.
