Féile na nGael weekend is here
After months of preparation and hard training the O'Loughlin Gaels under 14 hurling team can pack their gear bags, hurls and helmets and get ready to catch their coach to Galway for the All-Ireland Féile na nGael finals. This is O'Loughlin Gaels' second year in a row to be representing Kilkenny in the All-Ireland finals. Last year they were beaten in their quarter final against a much stronger Kilmacud Crokes team.
This year O'Loughlin Gaels will play their host club St Thomas' GAA Club, Gort of Galway, and Blackrock of Cork in the first round proper. To come out of this group will be an achievement in itself.
Gaels welcome new players
The under 6s, 7s and 8s in O'Loughlin Gaels are continuing with their training every Sunday morning in St John's Park under Hugh Mahon and Sean Hogan. The emphasis at this age group is always about having fun while playing Gaelic games. The club welcomes new members.
