Grovelands Childcare has secured capital funding from the Department of Children and Youth Affairs to develop a children’s garden and dedicated outdoor play area at each of its four centres in Athlone, Tullamore, and Mullingar.

Grovelands Childcare has been awarded the highest possible award from the Síolta Quality Assurance Programme, the national quality framework for Early Childhood Care and Education organisations. The multi-award winning Grovelands Childcare was awarded the highest ranking (Level 4) for its facility in Corran Riada, Monksland in Athlone. The award recognises excellence in quality of care and education across 16 standards set by Síolta which include the environment, play, curriculum, health and welfare, community involvement, and identity and belonging.

Grovelands Childcare Athlone has been awarded an All-Ireland Centre of Excellence award by Early Childhood Ireland for the eighth consecutive year at a ceremony in Belfast recently. Grovelands Childcare is the only childcare provider in the country to have retained this prestigious honour for eight consecutive years at all five of its childcare facilities in Athlone, Mullingar, and Tullamore.

Minister Barry Andrews was in Mullingar last Friday to perform the official opening of Grovelands Childcare at Market Point.
