Grovelands Childcare Athlone receives highest possible quality award

Grovelands Childcare has been awarded the highest possible award from the Síolta Quality Assurance Programme, the national quality framework for Early Childhood Care and Education organisations. The multi-award winning Grovelands Childcare was awarded the highest ranking (Level 4 ) for its facility in Corran Riada, Monksland in Athlone. The award recognises excellence in quality of care and education across 16 standards set by Síolta which include the environment, play, curriculum, health and welfare, community involvement, and identity and belonging.

Regina Bushell, founder and managing director, Grovelands Childcare, said, “The team in our Corran Riada centre deserve huge congratulations for what is a fantastic achievement. I am thrilled that the excellent quality of care and early education that they provide each and every day has been recognised by Síolta. I hope we have the opportunity to enter our other facilities in Athlone, Tullamore, and Mullingar in the future as we adhere to the Síolta principles in all of our centres.”

The Síolta Quality Assurance Programme, under the remit of the Department of Education and Skills, is being rolled out in a select number of counties including Roscommon, which enabled Grovelands Childcare to participate through its facility on the Roscommon side of Athlone.

Grovelands Childcare is a pioneering, multi-award winning childcare and early education provider that is celebrating 20 years in operation this year and currently employs 78 people. Earlier this year each of the Grovelands Childcare facilities retained All-Ireland Centre of Excellence awards by Early Childhood Ireland for the eighth consecutive year; something no other childcare provider has achieved.
